Scientific Web Portal Generator
Růžička, Štěpán ; Vyskočil, Michal (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
In this document I am talking about dynamic web application, which I am making via Ruby on Rails, XML, MySQL and AJAX technology. Introduce describes, why I have chosen this job, and what you can find in this document. Next part is about Ruby on Rails and XML, where I am describing how to use REXML library and what it offers to you. There are some examples to better understanding that. Continuing with describing libraries, which can offer dynamic, sound and some other effects. Prototype and script.aculo.us are described there and some examples as well. Semifinal chapter is about Web portal generator in general at first and next about single steps when I was working on my application. In last one chapter I am trying to look on my application from user's point of view. I am describing the way, how I tried to make application better for usual user. I joined some reactions from persons who had the opportunity to work with my application. Document terminates by resume of gained experiences.
High level synthesis in network applications described using P4 language
Panák, Petr ; Šťáva, Martin (referee) ; Fujcik, Lukáš (advisor)
High-level synthesis is a compelling method of designing a digital circuit. High abstraction and faster verification are advantages which aren't pressent in Register Transfer Level designing. That guarantees faster designing with lower development costs. This bachelor thesis deals with a digital design of actions, extern blocks and MI32 interface access. Each component design is described using C/C++ programming language and synthesised with Intel HLS compiler.
Conversion of a Robot Program from Code to an AR-Compatible Representation
Kadnár, Šimon ; Bažout, David (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
The demand for robots and their development is constantly growing. Along with robots, various environments are being created to facilitate their programming. One such environment is the ARCOR2 application. The application has implemented a functionality that allows internally represented data, which control the robot, to be converted into the widely known Python language. The aforementioned conversion was introduced because Python is used as an interpreter for the robot program in which it is possible to run the program. The aim of the work is to utilize the conversion from the internal representation of data to the Python language for modifying the robot's code. The benefit of the work is enabling modifications in the Python language by converting the modified code back into the internal representation of data. As a result, the workstation operator can create a program using augmented reality, and an experienced programmer can subsequently modify the created program in the Python language. The solution allows for effective collaboration between regular users and programmers, with each working with a program form that corresponds to their abilities.

Verification of the Kuhlthau's Information Search Process Model in the Environment of the Czech Republic
Přibylová, Ludmila ; Landová, Hana (advisor) ; Němečková, Lenka (referee)
The thesis focuses on Kuhlthau's Information Search Process Model. Firstly, the author explains Kuhlthau's model of information retrieval and seeking meaning of information from user's perspective. Results of the model are the uncertainty principle and mediation - findings which change our view of library services. In the second part of the thesis, the author introduces other research texts and manuals about writing a scientific text. She pays special attention to Jadwiga Šanderová's comprehensive manual which is called How to read and write a scientific text in social sciences, and to stylistics research text by Světla Čmejrková et al. called How to write down a scientific text. Thirdly, the author evaluates the survey which verifies Kuhlthau's model in the environment of the Czech Republic. The survey has taken place among postgraduate students, teachers and scientists from chosen universities in the Czech Republic
ELECTRE methods: theory and applications
Pieter, Michal ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Fiala, Petr (referee)
Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is a field of decision theory concerned with analyzing discrete sets of variables evaluated by multiple criteria. Facilitating decisions in such situations are several methods, among them a family known as ELECTRE. Using threshold values and the concept of outranking, they allow for improved modeling of the uncertain nature of real systems. This thesis sets out to describe all of the basic ELECTRE methods, as well as several of their modifications and further extensions and aims to do so with a sufficient level of detail and using precise mathematical language. It also presents key applications of said methods and reviews their implementation in software. Lastly, it introduces a brand new software, ELIA, developed as a part of the thesis. It allows users to solve practical problems using four of the basic ELECTRE methods.
